Worm Gear Series RD

As high-performance gears for general mechanical and plant engineering, small designed worm gears guarantee a long service life. High quality materials, continuously optimized manufacturing methods and modern design comply with today's state of the art in every aspect. The housing is made out of aluminum.
 
There are currently 3 design sizes with transmission up to 1:40 available. The self-locking worm gears have efficiency levels between 50% and 70 %, depending on the transmission. They are maintenance-free under normal operational conditions. Exact positioning is only one task among many other which can be done with low clearance angular gears. Handling devices, feeding facilities, piston pump drives, printing machines etc. are further fields of application for these special gears.
 
The standard circumferential backlash on the drive shaft of theses gears - depending on size and transmission - ranges between 0.5° and 0.2°. Depending on the requirements, the gears can also be delivered with almost no clearance. Low clearance can be maintained over a long lifetime if the device is accurately dimensioned.
